Have you had experience of Cardiovascular Disease or are you at risk?

Do you want to influence the development of an exciting research study in South East London to help others?

The MOVE-IT study is a research study funded by the NHS to help increase activity and reduce weight in people at risk of developing heart disease.

MOVE-IT offers people at risk of cardiovascular disease ten sessions of motivational interviewing with a health trainer. It is one of the largest studies of its kind and we are seeking a group of patient experts to provide their perspective.

What would I have to do?

You would be working with other patients and researchers from King’s College London to advise on the MOVE-IT study.

You would provide knowledge and expertise based on your experience as a service user and a member of the community to help improve and enhance the research and maximise patient benefit.

You do not need any previous experience, just a willingness to attend and contribute to lay advisory group meetings and enthusiasm to be involved

Training and support will be provided on how you can help in research.

We would like to have our first meeting 20th February 2013. All Travel Expenses will be reimbursed and refreshments will be provided.
