Have to agree with you on the situation in Jamaica Rd. Glibson,
it was always bad, but now much worse.
I hear you too on the "bunching up" situation at the junction of Jamaica and Bevington , and Jamaica and West Lane.
It's annoying whether you are sitting on a bus or in a taxi, or driving one or the other, to come to a halt behind a stalled line of vehicles waiting to merge into the r/h lane to avoid being caught in the bus lane.
I have a degree of sympathy with those drivers though, they are in a catch 22 situation.
If they don't move into the space immediately prior to the bus lane, they can be sitting forever waiting to move, and then keep seeing the gap filled by vehicles exiting St. James Rd., or further down, Southwark Park Rd.
Often drivers will pass on the left of the guy doing the "right" thing by waiting, and tack on the end of the line waiting to merge right, blocking the crossroad while doing so.
Even if the operative times of the bus lane were adjusted to 07.00 - 10.00, and 16.00 - 19.00 there would still be chaos at the tunnel roundabout.
