Anyone knows where I can get press stud of purses replaced? I have accumulated many purses over the years and all of them are in good condition other than their press studs need replacing. It seems so wasteful to throw away things when they are still in good condition. They are not high end designer purses but a variety of high street brands and those bought from my travel.

I have been to several places (cobblers and dry clean shops) to no avail. I was told that it was too cheap to repair.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I found this discussion by running a search around the first line of your post:

Other results show the toolkit mentioned.

Kaptau would it work if you stuck some of that stickly velcro stuff if the leather was soft and there was a flap? Have you tried the cobblers in tower bridge road near the bus stop?

It's not a difficult job to do. You can get a press stud kit in the sewing department of John Lewis - and I'm sure elsewhere.

Just reminded me truthmonkey, I used to have leather and mattress needles in my aunts sewing box and old fashioned press studs...must put brain into gear more often!
