Ivanhoe has the essential point - Great Dover Street is a main through road, built originally I believe to replace Tabard Street as the main A2 route to Kent , hence its name . Although Great Dover Street is still rather oddly designated as the A2, New Kent Road is very much the busier thoroughfare now and the design of the Bricklayers interchange recognises this.
Well done oldtimer. This whole debate started on 'what looks nice and must be posh' vs 'what looks like council flats'.
25-47 Trinity Street are Leathermarket JMB-run council houses [http://www.leathermarketjmb.org.uk/homes/25_47TrinityStreet.html ], as our 4-16 Brockham Street [http://www.leathermarketjmb.org.uk/homes/4_16Brockham.html] (though many people have bought these)
And, as oldtimer pointed out, most of Trinity Square used to be effectively housing association on protected rents.
There are always conspiracy theories going round, but it does help if people don't mangle the facts.
