If you are a morning commuter to/from Shad Thames or the south side of Tower Bridge, you may recall a lady who used to sit under the bridge. Perhaps hopefully of some spare change, she always had a cheery word as we rushed by. An avid reader, she was always grateful for second hand books. I never knew her name, but alas now I do. Karen passed away recently & there is memorial to her on the railings next to the Tower Bridge Engine Rooms entrance. There are some family photos that bring home she was a much loved daughter, sister & friend. Stop by if you have the time & remember her. So young & so sad. RIP Karen.
