If you LIVE in Metro Central Heights as I do
Apologies for not living in the much sought after Metro Central Heights.

Walworth Road, Heygate Street, Rodney Place. No Congestion Charge, but a bit further. Maybe you should all petition for a better arrangement that permits a left into OKR for the reasons you have so eloquently outlined. I've no objection to it myself and looking at it again in the light of your comments find it odd that it hasn't been included. I'd avoid mention of the congestion charge, though. MCH is in the congestion charge zone already so if it's being avoided at the moment maybe that's an oversight you need to report to TfL... or one they will correct as part of these works anyway. ;-)

That's good! The designs I saw still had the roundabout.

It's still a roundabout for cyclists. They get given an east to west "Cycle Link" through Peter's Piazza so they can slalom through the pollution-choking commuters traversing it north and south.

So what is your solution? I think I know now you don't want the subways removed.
Leave it as it is? Or do you have a proposal.

Do you know how many injuries there are at E&C roundabout each year? LEaving as is is not acceptable to me.

MCH is on the border of the congestion zone, and we pay a REDUCED charge. Not NO charge. If we turn left out of the gate we just miss going in. Turning right means we don't.

Jackie, think you've go this wrong, the congestion zone starts at the end of Newington Causeway - it does not matter which way we turn upon exit as we are already within the zone.

Turn right - into the congestion zone - pay.

Turn left - into the ocngestion zone - pay. Albeit you could drive 10m down Newington causeway to the roundabout and then go down New Kent Road for example ) - the cameras might miss you on the 10m. At 90p a go its not a contentious issue for me.

Not so Jinkazama, not so. Look at the position of the cameras.

And by the way, y'all, I am well aware of the situation re. MCH and the congestion zone. I pay every year and have done since the CZ began. And I have had the conversation re. where the real beginning of the charging zone starts. It was deliberately set up JUST beyond the entry to MCH in order that the various builders, electricians and so on which necessarily have to come to a place with so many flats, will be able to squeak in without paying the charge.

That can't be right as I've been caught coming from the roundabout and turning into MCH. Never the other way though.

Yup, you have to cut the corner really sharply...!
