I give this to you forum as everyone needs a smile on Monday morning (you may have seen this one already).

Voter Form 2014

I returned home yesterday to my 2014 Southwark Voter registration form.

Speaking of this form - I also noticed that for the 1st time in 17 years my "Don't sell my details from the register" was unticked.

Is it just me - or is Southwark Council unticking the box for everyone to make the book of sold details more chunky and worth more?

BSB I noticed that too - I've ticked to opt-out ever since it was an option.

I've emailed my local Councillor to ask if they know why.

Yup same for me - I've been an opt out as long as I've lived in the area - I think it's a sneaky trick to get more people to opt in and I'm not impressed

A friend who lives in Lewisham has told me the same thing happened there.

I wonder if it's therefore something Electoral Reform Services (the commercial arm of the Electoral Reform Society - about which there seem to be numerous complaints to the Electoral Commission) decided to do?

looked at it twice...then roared with laughter, really gave me a fit of the giggles..who on earth checks these things before they go out? perhaps we will not have to pay the company that prepared them due to 'not being for the purpose!'
