I think this belongs in chatter but feel free to move it to discussion if you think it better placed there mods :)

I have gained a balloted place in next years marathon (Yay me, lucky girl getting a sought after place at the first time of entry, not so yay me, months of training will follow this post!)

I'm wondering if anyone else on the forums is training too?

I can't decide upon a charity to run for? :-/

I'd love to run for a local charity (SE1/SE16 based) where the money would make a big difference, rather than the well recognised charities' that will have lots of people running for them, looking for suggestions if anyone has any.

Many Thanks :)

Uk Homes for Heroes is a local charity.

No connection, just a supporter of the charity

You could have a look at Oasis who are based just by Lambeth North. They are now a national and global organisation but still do a lot of work in the Waterloo area. You can always specify that your money goes towards a specific activity.

In any event good luck and have a great race.

I run for Time and Talents - they're fab and all money goes to grass roots community support for Bermondsey & Rotherhithe
