I was wondering why I felt a better person...

I think there's a kitchenware shop on the Cut and a hardware shop on the Lower Marsh - might get an egg timer in either of those. There's a small independent kitchenware place on Walworth Road too - on the right between Tesco & the post office.

Haha the absolutely stunning hypocrisy is..well..stunning. All the leftie luvvies salivating over a Waitrose while they tell the rest of the country they got it wrong on the referendum vote.
They were all misguided weren't they?

Yea, wrong thread. so what?

See above for comment from Paramount - who I'm sure will the first to confirm his Brexit credentials - welcoming Waitrose. Yes, boroughonian - wrong thread - and bloody irrelevant.

It's not about brexit credentials though is it? It's about you moody lefties who don't appear to respect your lefty brother in other places with other challenges. Carry on lecturing them though, I'm sure they appreciate it.

Yea, I am kinda sorry for this intrusion into the thread with another topic, but I found a relevance, and don't swear.

I was in Haslemere, in Surrey, the other day. As far as I could see, the only supermarket in the town is a large Waitrose. Surrey must be full of moody lefties.

LOL! I keep bumping into moody Brexit voters who've woken up to the realisation what they've done and regret their vote. Not sure if they're lefties, righties or from Surrey though.

Waitrose Bankside. High jinks with 4 young staff. Socialising. Not working One young chap on his own struggling at the checkout. The manager needs to wake up in this branch. Very quiet. More staff than customers. Tesco and Sainsbury busier in the cut.

Very unfortunate the kitchen shop on the Cut has gone for about 3 years now to make way for Cafe Nero (or Costa)

The independent shop on the Walworth Road is great (IMHO) - lots of household stuff, not only kitchenware and I can always find what I'm looking for,
