As a long term resident I remember Evans cycle shop on Kennington Road prior to their move to The Cut to the premises formerly occupied by "Pecrys" the clothing store. That move might have been in 1966. I cannot recall a bicycle shop on The Cut prior to Pecrys closing down.
I am truly interested in the dating of your post and its origin because it might point to a failing memory on my part or jog a memory that is worse than I thought it was.
