The two cash machines in The Cut are both out of action and have been since Wednesday. Running short of cash I enquired of the staff of Sainsbury's and was told that some thieving cloners had inserted a device into the cash machine but it had been noticed and removed before any harm could be done. I suspect the same thing could have happened to the Tesco machine because that is still out of action.
So be very careful when using ATMs in the area because it looks like it has been targeted, at the very least make sure you hide your PIN when using the ATM and check the machine for anything that looks suspicious.

Agree with you on this.
The cashier at my bank advised me to use the machines inside the bank whenever possible, and to avoid the holes in the wall.

Waterloo seems to be a favourite with this sort of criminal. Back in summer, the cash machine next to the Slug and Lettuce cloned loads of people's cards in who work in County Hall.

One of the staff at Tesco on Long Lane told me recently that there had been problems with scammers at the ATM there.
