I agree with SouthwarkSimon. We had a very bad time that culminated in me taking these people to adjudication, where a combination of removing unwarranted charges and reimbursement of overcharging resulted in a reduction of around £10,000. We are still having the water pipes, boiler and other matters fixed by other builders.
I found it very stressful but couldn't afford to let them walk away with my money, so I fought them and won. I would not, however, recommend anyone get into this situation in the first place.
