I see that property developer Russell Gray is continuing his mission to protect the traditional heritage of Bermondsey Street by planning a row of houses with roofs based 'in the manner of the Thames Barrier'

Is there a purpose to the slopey skateboard jumps on the roof I wonder? Will they be visible to passers by at street level? To be honest I don't like the look of them.
