Thanks James. I actually went to the exhibition too as I live close by and look into Skipton House. it was so low key. It’s definitely better than the original plans but I guess it’s all contributing to the blandness of the area. I know people like me (living in an ‘affordable’ shared ownership) are part of the problem but I have known e&c for a long time and worry about the character being lostX

They were very keen that I submit feedback, probably to show they’d done necessary public consultation.

I think that it will be an improvement on the current building to be honest, which completely ignores the street - at least this will open out onto the pavement and engage with the outside world. That said, it will be twice the height so will definitely affect people like me across the road in Metro Central Heights.

Timeline is quite long as current lease doesn't expire until 2021 - so they suggested 2024 as the earliest possible completion date.

I never liked Skipton House, but this Proposal will result in an overbearing building.

Rational adequate, interplanetary, but many questions arises what will be the actual length of the building as per 1970s plan will it be fixed till 28 floors, or it will exceed more, but how long ?
