Very sad to see that there seems to be some truth behind the way columbia threadneedle and its reps are operating, can this really be legal? Is the truth that companies like this have so much money that they can just do what ever they want?

Despite all the talk it is surely just a case of profit for its shareholders and no regard for community.

If it does become apparent that the new tenants are part of large groups as has been suggested they certainly will not be getting my custom. After The Market Porter is hardly a small independant!

[quote Jan the old one]Dg22 can they really chuck you out with such little notice....disgusting if they can...[/quote unfortunately yes I think they can.
If we were to Persue this through the legal roots we may be able to stay longer but this would be very costly and we simply don't have the resources to do that.
We have been given another six days and told that they could have given us a days notice instead of 3 wks !How considerate!!
If everything gose to plan then we should be in another premises in shad Thames in about 5 wks .
Will keep you all posted !

is The Market Porter a pop up or permanent restaurant?
Tuesday 1 November 2016 12.51pm
Pop up, I think. The empty units have been offered as short term pop up lets for a little while now.
Tuesday 1 November 2016 6.01pm
Pop up I believe but have also been told it was done as a bit of a favour as they rent other space in the area?

They seem to be on the owners favoured list as they have been included in discussions that others have not apparently.

Hide All announced on twitter this week that they will be closing at the end of the year. I'm not certain but judging by some other tweets it's possible they have also been served notice by the landlords, perhaps so Starbucks can open an even larger coffee shop?

Big shame to lose such a good independent shop.
