Penny farthings? Entirely different conception. That was generally a romantic. Notion. But using bikes as as daily packhorse to work etc? Mmmmm unsafe definitely. We aren't continental Europe.. Why UK will never be happy being in EU. Where these scatty notions are first entertained then tried out in good old London

Katie. You are correct. The layout design needs to return to the drawing board. I would like to meet the people who thought this seemingly inane scheme up n designers etc

It was Norman Tebbit who said "on your bike", not the EU. Get your historic facts straight before proving Brendan D right.

If people have sensible points to make about the cycle superhighway and associated roadworks, there's another thread for that. So we'll leave this one here.
