Interesting that the pound shop has cheaper plants..and you can bet there won't be any pound shop in the new shopping centre...

Bunhouse your quite right, collar was meatier than back, green was the smoked whether back or collar, and despite government warnings still love smoked bacon. And when did it become the done thing to remove the rind? Nothing better than crispy bacon rind, perhaps the modern jaw could not chew! I think the brown eggs being healthier than White was started by the shops that could charge extra! Of course till Delia smith started using white eggs!.
I remember as a child when eggs were placed on a light box gadget to show they were healthy and not rotten....then placed in paper bags to go home with...mum still put them in a bowl of water if they sank they were fresh, floated meant they were bad because air had got it. I also remember the egg scandal where all eggs were stamped with a little lion. One enterprising man used a eraser..Indian or putty to remove the stamp then sold on as new laid!

Pops did you report the Indian restaurant? That's really bad to have mice running about, I would have.
It's bad enough that there's mice in some of the shops and there used to be in the Palace bingo. All joking aside you must report an eating establishment if you see anything. It breaks their Food Hygiene Certificate guidelines for a start.

Yes we did and got a free dinner and drinks for not telling H&S!!

Yes: the Sundial Cafe site has removed the partition that was erected a couple of years ago that divided it into two separate businesses.

This likely means that a new restaurant will be taking over the whole location.

I hope they will be serving good food!
