Has anyone been affected as a result of the thunderstorms last night? Came into office today which is ground floor and basement. The basement is under over 12inches of water. Environmental section of Southwark Council proving unhelpful. Trying to get a private contractor to pump out the water. Anyone experienced flooding before and similar problems? Who are you meant to call in these sort of instances? Is the council able to help, or do we have to try and get the water pumped privately. Any help would be much appreciated. .

It's a bit late for any advice now, even if I had any. Would it have been Thames Water to man the pumps, or the Fire service ? What did you do in the end ? Info could be useful to write in our diaries' emergency help sections, but, with luck, never to be used .
