I feel guilty about this: had great intentions to write an objection that would be so unquestionably well-reasoned, informed and argued that the council would have no choice but to bin off the hotel plan and build some beautiful, well-proportioned flats at genuinely affordable prices. But I never got round to it.

Anyway, in what sense is Premier Inn 'mid-range', as it was initially described?

At least its a British organization ala Whitbread Costa etc? Maybe perks discounts for locals?

Costa was founded by Italian immigrant brothers Bruno and Sergio Costa. This kind of thing will be happening less often once Brexit is completed.

Don't know about that... But Costa is now British under Whitbread although a mostly immigrant staff
