I'm not surprised to be honest. The staff was very friendly, but the pizza was very disappointing. With all the good options in the area now (Mercato Metropolitano, Elephantastic Pizza, The Libertines, etc. etc. etc.) there was really no reason to go there.
I mean, there is totally room for an independent Italian restaurant, but the food and the place need to be REALLY good.
There was a lot wrong with La Dolce Vita, but their capers, which they bought back from whichever part of Italy they were from, were amazing - large, juicy, sweet, and really nothing like the capers you can buy in the UK.
