Yesterday I bought a cinnamon bun from Fortnum & Mason, there was no price and when I got to the till I nearly dropped with the 4 price!!! It can't cost more than cost 10p to produce!

Not surprised really, bakeries have one of the highest profit margins of any business.

Steak and Stilton pasty today, handsome. Eaten while watching the dogs over GMH.

I love Dachshunds.

I knew they were called German Sausage dogs but I didn't know they tasted that good.

Was it your first time in Fortnums? :)

No, it was not my first time at Fortnum's. The buns were right next to Scones priced at 1.25 so I assumed they would be in the same price bracket. How wrong was I... Was at Borough market on Saturday and baked breads were not outrageously expensive comparatively.

Nothing too artisan but I like having Mustard, in the parade of shops at the eastern end of Great Suffolk Street, around the corner from me. Honest loaves with level headed pricing, sandwiches made while you wait (big queues at lunchtime, then they shut not long after 3), good sausage rolls and I love their apple strudel.
