Can anyone recommend a good, reliable plasterer to repair my bathroom ceiling and wall after water damage? It is important that they work to a high standard.

hi - has anyone used Ben and can give a recommendation?

After seeing all the recommendations for him on here I gave Ben a call and he said hed be happy to do the work, paid a deposit back in October, booked time off so he could come round, then he cancelled, fair enough these things happen, but then cancelled four more times. He did finally come round before Christmas to measure up and he told me how busy he was but never returned. Spoke to him in January and was assured that Id get my deposit back as Id given up on getting the work done but am still waiting despite chasing.

Ben if you're out there can I have my money back?

If you still need a plasterer I can recommend
M J Lawless (Micky Lawless)
Plastering Services

I found him through the East Dulwich forum where he was recommended by a few people and he did an excellent job for me after I had a bathroom tap left running by a family member - water dripping through the kitchen ceiling.

You might want to look at the East Dulwich forum for other suggestions if you need a few quotes. There is someone called Aaron also highly recommended -not used by me but might also be worth a call.

exactly the same happened to me - He asked for a large amount of money without even quoting the full price. When asked for full quotation before handing any money over, He decided to bill me for his quotation time and refused to pay anything back that i had already paid. Very unprofessional.

Also notice a lot of the recommendations come from one user. Suspicious much..?
