First of all, usual stuff - no financial connection, merely a happy gym member. No astroturfing, etc.

After years of thai boxing, and after turning 40, I decided to take my martial arts hobby in a different direction. A brand new BJJ gym opened on Marshalsea Road (j/o Redcross Way) at the beginning of March and I decided to give it a go. And it's been addictive. A blinding workout for body and brain.

The coaching staff and their tuition are fantastic: patient, clear, supremely informed, and super friendly. The gym is clean and well located in Borough (right by the tube station), and all the members, both new and experienced, are good people. There's a nice community establishing itself. And kids' classes for the youngsters to learn a bit of technical self defence, confidence, and to get some fun exercise in too.

I cannot recommend it enough. Here's a link if anyone is interested:- http://www.carpediembjj.co.uk/

I am a 17 year SE1 resident, and a frequent trawler, but infrequent poster, on here. Like I said, no financial connection, just a delighted gym member hoping that a great new business continues to prosper.
