Old (ish), overweight and out of shape and thinking its time to try and get fit without breaking the bank. Are there any others like me that would be interested in jogging sometime?

Late reply but have you thought about joining the Park Run at Burgess Park. Apparently very good for mixed abilities and there's always a back-marker so people don't get left behind even if walk/running... I've no personal connection but friends recommend it.

London City Runners have a couch to 5K course which is targeted at beginners. The final run is a park run.

How can you get involved with the couth to 5k run?

There are also lots
of Couch to 5K running plans online and apps.

If you find it easier to exercise with other people then joining a group might work better for you.
Here is the link to the London City Runners Couch to 5K:
They are on Druid Street.

This reply is very late I know...
But Tick - did you ever join a running club?

I'm definitely up for a jog around - I've not run for ages and I'd like to get back into it (slowly!) and just can't get motivated to go on my own.
