There is no threat of violence from these protesters, unlike in the pro-Brexit March.

Is David Attenborough naive or a radical?

Anyone who watched the BBC programme on Climate Change last night should accept that the impending catastrophe is the only game in town and that the problem is man made. No fake news in that programme. The Extinction Rebellion international protests are reflecting the importance of this in their own way.

I see no difference between their passionate stance and those of the early Trade Unions worker formation and the women's Suffragette movement. They had to resort to similar tactics( indeed ,in many cases, a more violent approach ) to make their valid points

Thank you Colinio, the rational voice of reason! Unlike me who blurts out things that pee me off!

I will read that link you put up with interest . David Bellamy was sidelined after he made those comments!

In New Scientist 16 April 2005 David Bellamy said a large percentage (555 of 625) of the glaciers being observed by the World Glacier Monitoring Service were advancing, not retreating. George Monbiot of The Guardian tracked down Bellamy's original source and found that it was Fred Singer's website. Singer said he obtained these figures from a 1989 article in the journal Science, but the article doesn't exist. Someone purporting to be a scientist who can't/won't even check the souces of information on which to base beliefs of such importance should indeed be sidelined.

Bellamy didn't check? Now will have to research a lot more, I have kept that info in my one cell brain for years!

You hoping for a return of a Franco regime style baton charge?

I must admit those 10 year olds I witnessed on Marble Arch today. colouring pictures in do present a radical danger and a vile obstruction.

That is not the point.. When I was a child I was encouraged actively by my parents to lend devote my mind and energies to more restful child like pursuits. Politics should be reserved for proper adults. The actress Emma what's a name is a trouble maker incidentally
