Hello (again) SE1 folk
I'm starting another thread, having just submitted one: legal advice and painting my toenails don't really go together. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced local solicitor with some knowledge/expertise of housing issues. As a freeholder I'm contesting the imposition of service charges which most freeholders don't pay. My house was sold long before I bought it and it's one of the "anomalies" in drafting the Transfer document which arose when the Council started selling its properties. I'm happy to pay a reasonable sum for a couple of hours advice (free legal service are heavily oversubscribed and I can afford to pay but not huge fees.) Thanks.

I have heard some very good things said about Anthony Gold, a firm headquartered in the Walworth Road that specialises in housing issues.

No connection with this firm, just recommendations I received from tenants, leaseholders, and freeholders.

Beverly Morris solicitors are good. They are based in Lewisham.
