Fascinating BBC archive footage on South Bank redevelopment

I came across this incredible interview between Bob Hoskins and Barry Norman broadcast on the BBC in 1982 in which Bob Hoskins takes Barry Norman for a walk along the South Bank and explains his concerns on the redevelopment of the riverside, especially the Coin St area. A lot of what he says has come true and remains pertinent today. Worth a watch if anyone is interested:

Thank you Sarah for this ...I was born before war ended, growing up the Thames was a part of every day of our world. Bob gave excellent example of what was to be...the developers rushing in to buy and build every bit of riverside, gave me a sad feeling...
