One would imagine - what I meant to say originally was that the building won't look much stumpier or less elegant due to this small reduction in height.

I would be interested to know when this scheme becomes no longer viable for Jumeirah in terms of opening prior to the Olympics in 2012. They repeatedly mention this issue but haven't actually threatened to pull the scheme with a fixed date by which time construction work must start.

That is excellent news, this will be a massive boost to an area of SE1 that is relatively underdeveloped when compared to further along the South bank and as the artist's impressions highlight this is a high quality design that will only add to the London skyline.

This seems a far cry from the Cross Keys & Railway Hotel that my Great Great Grandfather ran in 1851 on this same site!
