I am looking for someone to repair a microwave. It's a combination microwave, oven and grill. The oven and grill work fine so I don't want to replace it but I carelessly put the microwave on (instead of the timer) with nothing in it and there was a loud noise and that was the end of the microwave. It's quite heavy and I don't have a car so I'd be grateful for someone who might come out to repair it here. I phoned Cooks Electrical but apparently they have closed down (rents doubled) and the alternative number only does washing machines and tumble driers, sadly.

I'd be very grateful for any recommendations.

Very many thanks
Best wishes

But you're getting married this weekend. Don't newlyweds live off takeaways for the first few years anymore?

...if you press it, they will come.

You could try persuading these guys to come a bit further south:

Thanks Siduhe, but they won't come this far south. I found this website of recommended tradesmen that looks interesting.

I have left a message for Speedy Repairs (020 8692 7959) and will see what they are like.

I suspect it will be cheaper to buy a new one.

I'd like to recommend to you Alec Gabriel of Speedy Repairs who just repaired my microwave, dishwasher and drier for 30 all inclusive! Only works in South East London. Leave a message, letting him know where you live.

"No callout charge. Will always try to repair first rather than sell you new equipment, came quickly and doesn't charge over the odds."
I got him from the Families Online website
