Do any photographers out there know if there are any darkrooms in the area that are available to hire?

Is there one at The Fort?

[sorry SW. this is a childish joke and no help to you at all. a sensible suggestion might be to get in touch with any of the colleges/universities in the area]

...if you press it, they will come.

Ok, I have no idea what The Fort is - has anyone got any messages that are on-topic? Sorry to sound stroppy, but I get emailed when someone replies and would very much appreciate it if people only post with something relevant to the topic :-)

Zoom in Clapham is the closest one I know which is open to the public.

Morley College in SE1 hold their darkroom based courses there, so I don't think they have one on site at the college.

The Fort was a pub just oposite the GP's on Grange Road. It is now a 'members club' (i think) and all the windows are blacked out (hence the dark room link). Apparently (though I've no idea how true this is) it's a gay S&M club (for men).

rule no.1 of The Fort - nobody talks about The Fort
rule no.2 of The Fort - nobody talks about The Fort
rule no.3 of The Fort - no photography allowed ;-)

sorry that this post is no help SW - you could try PM'ing Phoney - he wins competitions for his photography.
