Hi there

Please can you help? I am organising a 2 day female empowerment self defence course the first week in april and require a space in Bankside, Borough or Southwark areas for up to 40 people seated. As I host these courses on a break-even basis, I am trying to find a very inexpensive but decent venue.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you dont mind having no stair-free access, try Charterhouse-in-Southwark, 7357-7733. They have several spaces in two buildings, including two large halls.

Bermondsey Village Hall (in the park, just behind Leathermarket) - might come under Charterhouse-in-Southwark - very easy access and private

speaking of this - I was reading somewhere of that new Israeli martial art (cannot remember the name, sorry) which sounded rather useful and is being tought more widely. I don't suppose if anyone knows if there are classes going in London (poss. even close(ish) to SE1) ???

Krav Maga - as taught to Jennifer Lopez for the movie "Enough".

Classes are held in Battersea, Notting Hill, Mayfair, Ladbroke Grove, Holborn and Oxford Circus.

I'm pleased that Red Bus is back on full commando form. Presumably by now he is also capable of taking on the marines as well.
