Picking up on another thread, I'd like to hear about films or videos that include parts of Southwark in their setting. Title, subject and date would be a good start.

Regards to all.

Saw one just the other night - end of Mission Impossible (film version) when Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames have a pint at the Anchor pub on Bankside.

Good link. I'm trying to find the name of a b/w movie c.1965, cops+robbers, with people like Stanley Baker. I only caught a bit of it and the continuity wasn't too good given that the action cut from Edgeware Rd to Bermondsey. That aside, the footage of the street scenes, Druid St was prominent from memory, was remarkable.

I only wish that I'd made a note of the title.

It's cheating really, but there's quite a bit of Southwark in 'London' by Patrick Keiller, now out on DVD if you want to see the Elephant in it's glorious pink.
