I guess the TVs will be handy for the Six Nations tournament, but I'm in agreement with truthmonkey, in general.

BTW Does anyone know the antonym of "gentrification"?

will play it by ear as we go , we havent gone silly with loads of screens. we are not planning on this becoming a " shout at the screen - feral chavpit" so we will be quite select in what we show, and even more particular in what matches will have sound.

but if you like Rugby ( incl early games from NZ and Aust) , Cricket , NFL ( american football) , sunday night NAZCAR, then you will like our offer,

come on in , have a look about, have a chat

hope to see you here

Thanks for explaining Phil - I'm convinced.

I like to watch the rugby, I just don't like pubs that have bizarre soap operas and random TV wittering away permanently.

no soaps ever!!!!

we had sky sports news on for most of the time but also went over to news channels to get updates on snow and weather reports.

As my husband likes a pint of real ale, we took ourselves off to The Crown on Saturday (about 5pm) as Big Phil said it was opening on Saturday's from 16th Jan. It looked very closed - although there was a man up a ladder in the window! Will it be opening at weekends and, if so, what are the opening times?

Very Sorry Suziq, we have had to delay one week due to our building not being ready ( the weather has slowed the job down a bit), I can say that we will def be open this weekend with full service ( drink and food)

please come on in for a complimentary drink as compensation for that wasted walk last saturday

i can report that the inside of the pub is nearly fully painted and its looking lovely and fresh ( unlike me who looks and feels very worn out)

sunday 31st is the first sunday roast day we will have,
( already have tables booked for that so hoping its a big day)

hope to see you here soon
