Shades of the Odd Couple...

The Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams will join Kevin Spacey, artistic director of the Old Vic, in Waterloo on Thursday 1 December at 5pm for the switching on of the Christmas lights.

Dr Williams, who is the leader of the Church of England and who is also a local Lambeth resident, will speak about the meaning of Christmas and how "it is a reminder of why people matter”. He will be followed by Kevin Spacey, who will switch on the Christmas lights.
