I thought somthing must have been going on behind the sceans.

but what does the statement actualy mean.

longer term

earlier development.

and if the homes have to be afordible will Berkely Homes still be intrested.

prity strange joint statment.

I suspect that much has been going on behind the scenes.
These two were at each others throats at the Public Inquiry and could not agree on anything!
Hopefully we will learn more soon.

Curiouser and curiouser.

I suppose that Berkeley could now "bank" their planning application for X number of flats, work out how many depend on each landowners site holdings, and then negotiate with Southwark for another scheme that either includes the same number of flats, or a smaller number of flats plus some bigger cultural use.

looking again its not actualy a joint statment at all.

the Berkely statment sounds like they want the current development. and the Southwark statment still sounds like they are pushing for somthing different.

also Its the picture from tooley street we should be looking at .

Copngratulations to English Heritage for their response to the decision.
What is the point of having a body such as English Heritage if no attention is paid to their views! The ODPM may as well disband them.

On consideration - maybe that is what he would like to do!

I agree

The whole report is just a white wash

with no baring on the reality of the situation.
