Hi
I have got an old Golf and it's due for it's MOT - does anyone know a decent MOT garage in the SE1 area? (that doesn't charge loads! - it's a very old car and not worth spending too much on!)

Thanks, NickyB

An old thread, but some of the advice may still be relevant:

Altho' I've now moved away I still come back to George at Fastfit. He inspects, does the necessary & takes the car to his mate 2 arches down!

Past two times I've had my P-reg Citroen AX MOT'd at Metro Test in Hercules Road. It's passed with no problems both times.

I got my Citroen done in Hercules Road too - can't remember the price but it was very reasonable, and they were very friendly and accomodating (and fast and reliable !)

R W Autos on Morocco Street has always been very nice to me. I have absolutely no idea what is reasonable price-wise, but I have had to have a new exhaust and an MOT (on separate occasions), and my father (who knows about these things) expressed pleasant surprise at how cheap it was. And my little car is still going. Their number is:020 7407 2403.
