Four of us living in Peabody Square, Blackfriars Road are forming a new action group to deal with issues in the larger community.

We decided to do this following our success with fighting a proposed development of luxury flats which would have affected the lives of 36 households. I fought this virtually alone as our TA weren't particularly bothered as it didn't affect most of them. We won. An article will be in the Southwark News this Thursday, 13th March if anyone is interested!

We are keen to forge links with other groups in the North Southwark area. We already have the support of 3 local MP's and several local businesses have expressed their interest in joining us. We would be very pleased to hear from any other action groups in the area.

We are thinking of planning a fete in the summer and would like to invite other local groups to participate.

If anyone has any info or input, we would be very pleased to hear from you.

Many thanks
