I know it is about 500 yards outside SE1 in the outer darkness of SE17, but as even our esteemed editor has included it in this week's SE1 direct, I think I can repeat this here!

The quaint old Cuming Museum (complete with proper wooden display cases) closes in its original Edwardian premises upstairs above the library in Walworth Road on Tuesday 18th July.

The final temporary exhibition - Mana Ornament and Adornment from the Pacific runs until Saturday 15 July and includes many rarely seen items from the Cuming's Polynesian collections -some not on display since 1940!

You'll have to wait until October for the new museum next door.
