I'm a big fan of this place (no connection etc); their produce isn't cheap, but it's good quality (great tomatoes), and they make a mighty fine sandwich. They're also nice people. But the windows seem continually to get bricked. Is this just a case of "Sh** happens", or is there a bit more to it than that? I am intrigued - and pretty appalled.

I too love this place....the best bread sticks in the world (no connection etc just love them)and the rest of the stuff is really great too. I didn't realise they had suffered from any of the mindless vandalism that we all see from time to time...shame on these idiots.

it seems to be the "in thing" with the kids round there-the windows of the empty ground floor of City walk on Long Lane seem to be vandalised quite often

I know the place quite well and talking to one of them they have an image of the culprit on CCTV and it was not kids that tried to smach the windows earlier this week but a man of around 30yrs. I suspect he was hoping to find money in the till, probably to fund a habit. So its not always The kids!

Can't you get toughened glass that the bricks will simply bounce off?
