Residents of SE1 will know that the majority of the South Bank complex was designed by Sir Dennis Lasdun who also designed the excellent concrete megalith of The University of East Anglia in Norwich. In the late 60s and mid 70s this was a really happening hip University which was the subject of numerous sit ins and appeared
on The Front Page of The Daily TELEGRAPH IN 1977 WHEN IT BECAME THEfisst University to BAN the infamous SEX PISTOLS
Anarchy in the UK Punk Rock tour.
The concrete at UEA gets very grey in the rain but students
who pass the South Bank area feel a welcome reminder
of their UEA days when they pas it.In fact they feel right at home.
As UEA looks like South Bank and South Bank looks like UEA!
The avant garde theatre also further bears a resemblence.
Only think missing rather too many folks wandering round South Bank
rather lack the same standard of brains and background as the average student at UEA making it a bit more boring.
We dont have beggars and buskers on the campus at UEA.

I think you'll find that only the National Theatre was designed by Sir Denys Lasdun.
