My neighbours and I have just set up an an association. In order to be officially recognised by Southwark Council, we had to call it "The Lant and Trundle Tenants' and Residents' Association". Snappy, eh?
Can anyone tell me the logic of this?
We all want to call it "The Lant Street Association", or "The Lant Street Residents' Association". Doesn't "resident" simply mean someone who lives here? Why be divisive?
