40 for the first 30 minutes, and 25 for each extra 30 minutes sounds expensive to me. That's 65 for one hour's work. Or is that what people in SE1 expect to pay these days for things like:
"Assembling flat pack furniture; Changing/fixing switches, dimmers, bulbs, fuses, plugs; Lifting/shifting furniture" ?

handyman excellent rates??? as if! I think they are very expensive.
Friday 22 June 2007 11.32pm is a Northern based handyman company who regulary visit London to carry out bathroom remodeling and other home improvement works. If you book in advance they are also able to carry out a full days work for you at very reasonable rates (less than the usual london prices. You can have a variety of small works done at the same time. visit our website
Ask your friends and club together to make it a weeks work and the prices are even cheaper. 5 million liability insurance.

I've used 0800 Handyman before and would recommend them. I think the prices were more or less the same as the other Handy company

Just to say, I used today after the recommendations on here.

They were polite, friendly, very helpful and did a great job.

Have been trying to find someone for months to do odd jobs.
