I think the building looks exceptionally ugly. I, for one, am not looking forward to looking at that hulk of a thing from my lounge window.

Spoke to Shortwave films and they confirmed there will be a 60 seat cinema and cafe/bar. He wasn't sure about timings - all down to the developer etc.

It is mentioned on the massive banner which is on the side of the scaffolding, so its a commitment of sorts I guess.

Not exactly booking my tickets yet but if enough people declare their enthusiasm etc.

Here is a link to the developers - actually the world's first responsible property fund according to the United Nations! Igloo Regeneration Maybe not liars or crooks - but I agree with the general sentiment!

Cbrown- there is a typo on your site:

Bermondsey Square is at the site of the formet Bermondsey Abbey a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
