I recently discovered "The Maltings" cafe a few doors further down towards Tanner Street on Tower Bridge Road, it's the cafe for the office complex but they welcome anyone. It has amazing home cooked food and the coffee is not only perfect but incredibly cheap (from 1). Definately worth checking out, though its only open Mon to Fri

I smell an internal plug amidst the coffee :P

Mind you, I had lunch there, in March, and it was really good.

There seems to be some kind of work happening inside. New floor going down last week. Not seen any signs up though.

Great news!

The place is going to become a Japanese restaurant!! - the owner is not sure of exact opening date - but imminent.

Can't wait - a very welcome addition to this area.

That is great news, just last night I was talking with friends of how we would love a Japanese restaurant in the area.
