Have they moved beyond constructing the foundations yet?

They are extending the footprint by demolishing parts of the Heygate Estate, so no, it's still foundation work going on.

Anyone got any info on the future Oakmayne Plaza? What things will be surrounding it? When flats will be available for purchase?

i think they resubmitted a planning application - they want to change the mix of uses, which is a predictable developer's trick (get permission for something interesting, then try to remove the cinema/hotel/theatre/whatever).

there is another thread about this somewhere....

Yes as I said previously on this thread, they have given up the idea of the hotel which is bad news, and want to have a student hostel they've gone back to planning.

A student hostel sounds like a real downgrading. Jackie you have met the regeneration people, when is their major work starting? The partner was announced 2 months ago.

It feels like the whole Elephant regeneration is drifting and directionless and getting downgraded. Unlike Kings Cross where everything is moving at a pace and the area is already looking miles better.

agree, Oakmayne should be bringing something new to the area not even more student digs!
