We have some original railings (c.1860)outside our building which badly need some tlc and a gate which needs replaced and so I'm wondering whether anyone could recommend a workman/company who carry out this type of work?

Just to say that if the building is listed you will probably need Listed Building Consent to do any repairs.... contact the council if you're unsure.

You do not need listed building consent for repairs.

The Old Southern Railway Forge between Thorburn square and the OKR will do what you want. They are very good - but not cheap, I heartily recommend them. www.theoldsouthernforge.co.uk/
