It all depends on the circumstances... 400 for basically drilling 4/6 holes in a wall is indeed very expensive. In my case they had to reinforce the hollow wall first, and also to bury the cables in the wall, as I didn't see the point in having a wallmounted TV with hanging cables against a white wall. They spent the afternoon working on the installation. Yulia if your mounting is easier I suspect you won't have to pay as much.

400 for an afternoon's work??? Wow. I'm going to start installing wall-mounted TVs.

Don't bother hiring a drill, OP, buy a cheap hammer drill from B&Q for about 10-15 instead. Cheaper.

i bet it's easy if you know what you're doing.
i also bet it's easy to make a complete eff up of it, if you don't, and the cost of proper repair would be more than too much.

if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, or with friends, get some quotes.
