I thought one or both of the resident's associations might make the first approach.

Ahem... I might mount a counter-demo "Shags for Daleks and diversity." Bring your helmets.

the tooley street tra is currently inopperative after a disasterous and unlawful amalgamation with the posh folks from shad thames and hasn't held an agm as required by the rules for this year as it cannot make a quorum.
the fair street tenant management organisation is similarly disorganised in respect of resident participation.
the working masses are completely alienated!

May I suggest that the lack of interest in Quill's suggestion for a demonstration of ballooning (other than from the usual reactionaries) suggests that general support for a continued wasteland at potters field is waning (if it ever existed at all)? I for one wholeheartedly agree with everything Ken has said.

Support for a continued waste land(get a life)

the support is for exiting and breathtaking imaginative use of the river side
Of which there is an abundance.
And I'm pretty sure there will be a demonstration.

This is has been going on a long time its no wonder people are running out things to say.

That doesn't mean they want the Berkeley Abomination.

After what happened to the Skyline Millennium Balloon on that site I'm not surprised that people are sceptical about The Quill's suggestion :-)
