Oddly enough the arrival of Anubis in Trafalgar Square coincided with the delayed removal of "Alison Lapper Pregnant" from the fourth plinth.

For a brief moment last Monday, I thought Anubis was going to be a semi-permanent fixture in the Square.

However, it seems that we are getting Thomas Schutte's Hotel for the Birds after all.
