Anyone know of any SE1 good causes looking for volunteers over Xmas? - specifically 25th and 26th.

Try contacting Volunteer Centre Southwark - they're based in Wigglesworth House, Southwark Bridge Road.

Not SE1 specifically, although they do have a Deptford centre I think, but Crisis normally want people to help over Christmas.

Something that I did 2 years ago was volunteer at the People Care Association party at Dulwich College on Christmas Day. 400 elderly folk from across LB Southwark (including SE1) are fed Christmas lunch then there is a singalong and bingo plus tea, and at the end of the afternoon all the guests get a goodie bag (tinned food etc) to take home. It was a really great atmosphere and well organised. Contact Johnny Clarke on 020 7703 2163 if you would like to volunteer.
